The first four weeks of class, we will be introduced to the AP Essay Test, giving students a first look at the challenging writing format that is the centerpiece of the AP test in May. We are not just preparing for the AP test, however. It is my goal that students learn that being able to write the sort of essay required of the College Board is the sort of essay writing that is needed for virtually all collegiate coursework, and for all levels of meaningful thinking.
